Walk in any time, we mean it. Monday to Friday 1pm to 6pm, weekends 11am to 6pm, no advance notice required. Want to lock in a spot ahead of time (smart move on weekends), book daily 11am to 6pm through Tock.

We keep our tasting room a quieter, adults-focused space, so it's best enjoyed without little ones along this time. It's a wonderful spot for a date, a catch-up with friends, or a slow afternoon set aside just for the grown-ups.

Most guests spend 60 to 90 minutes with us, enough time to work through a flight and actually talk about what's in the glass. Give yourself a little extra if you're doing bottle service or settling in on the patio.

Estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc, all from our 18-acre organic vineyard above the fog line. We pour current releases alongside older vintages, so there's usually something on the list you won't find anywhere else.

Where does Moon Hollow wine actually come from?

An 18-acre, CCOF-certified organic vineyard 5 miles up the mountain, 1,200 feet above the fog line, farmed by hand. It's part of a larger 800-plus acre family estate spanning Sonoma and Napa.

Can I visit the actual vineyard, not just the tasting room?

Yes, by request. Vineyard tastings and estate visits get arranged directly, call 707-744-4777 or email wine@moonhollow.com. (Tock only books the Plaza tasting room for now.) There's nothing quite like standing where the wine actually comes from.

Membership. The good stuff, intimate tastings, vineyard tours, member parties, seated dinners, happens at the estate and is reserved for members. It's the number one reason people join, and at $350 a quarter in credit that's yours to spend at your own pace, it has a way of paying for itself.

One of our favorite ways to spend an evening. We're right on the Plaza, so you can taste with us, then walk to dinner at any of the restaurants nearby. No car required.

What else is there to do near Moon Hollow on the Plaza?

Plenty, we're right in the middle of it. Sonoma Plaza is the largest historic plaza in California, with a shaded park at its center, duck pond, rose garden, and playgrounds included, plus Mission San Francisco Solano, the 1908 City Hall, and blocks of shops, galleries, and restaurants ringing the square. Come by on a Tuesday evening in season and you'll catch the Farmers Market too.

Is there a membership or wine club?

Yes, and it's not a typical wine club. $350 a quarter becomes store credit, no scheduled shipments, no surprises, spend it on wine, tastings, events, or merchandise however you like. Members also get 10% off bottles and merch, 30% off tastings, and first access to member-only releases and estate events.
