Grenache and Mourvedre are co-fermented to create perfect harmony between Mourvedre’s tannins and Grenache’s soft character. The result is a profound wine with an almost exotic flavor profile featuring red berries, orange zest, red rooibos tea, and Szechuan pepper. Enjoy it with chicken, duck, turkey, porc or veal.
With only 80 cases produced, Syrah kicks off our red varietal harvest to preserve vibrance before becoming too jammy. With it’s deep purple color and rich aromas of dark berries and licorice, density is the defining feature of this wine. Tannins with grip back up the rich aromatic profile, making it a great companion to comfort foods like burgers, lamb, and sausages.
Two-thirds of Moon Hollow's Vineyard is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon. Sunset oriented and above the fog line, our vines produce clusters of small-berried grapes, giving the wine an extraordinary complexity, deep color, and firm tannins with persistency on the palate. With dark berries, spice notes, and signature mountain herbs like sage and bay leaves at the core, this wine is a great conversation-starter and companion to flavor full dinner.
The vineyard’s Cabernet Franc is located near the sunrise-oriented white varietals block, preserving vibrance on this fruit-forward profile that includes hints of fresh currant, purple flowers, and exotic pepper berries. The wine provides a mouthful of flavors with a juicy, but chunky textural presence that features a long finish with the finest floral notes. Only 90 cases produced.
20 cases 6 packs of magnum bottled of this 2014 vintage. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced by Moon Hollow from the neighbor vineyard and to estimate fruit potential while the vineyard is being planted.
